DESCRIPTIONThis bowl has been turned from American White Ash, and the grain filled with black wax to showcase the natural pattern. This bowl has several splits - they’re natural defects in the wood, and we’ve stabilised them, but we’ve priced it a little lower to help it find a home. The bowl is finished with our best microcrystalline wax blend.
American Ash can be found across the Eastern United States, and is widely cultivated thanks to its wonderful strength, straightness, and character. We source our samples from sustainability-focused foresters who are seeking to protect this tree from the invasive pests and diseases which threaten its wild populations.
We recommend against using this bowl for food but it is suitable for displaying fruit, wrapped sweets, and possessions.
